I’ve been extremely busy over the past few weeks and haven't had a lot of time to post. Not that I'm complaining mind you, it's just that on the hierarchy of things to do, posting on the blog is not up there. And things are only going to get busier over the next month or so. But I have to admit; it’s a good kind of busy. Work is taking up most of my time, but I do enjoy my job. Between work and home, driving kids from place to place, trying to get to the gym on a regular basis, shovelling the friggin’ driveway (my snow blower was busted but I had it repaired – thanks Larry), housework – yes, I freely admit I do help around the house - grocery shopping (do that too), you kind of lose track and something has to suffer.
I’m trying to make more time to see Paul as well. He’s so close to work that I hope to drop in to see him a lot more, even if it’s only for a half hour or so. I’m trying to set a weekly time to drop by. Right now Thursday during lunch looks like it will work - kind of looking forward to it actually. (I never thought I’d say that.)
Otherwise, things are good, except my G-D tooth. I found out last Friday that I will need surgery to fix a problem that didn’t exist until it was “fixed” last year. I had a root canal done about 20 years ago and my tooth seemed like it was getting loose. So I had it fixed, but it started to become sensitive. Eating apples or chewing gum were definite no-no’s. The dentists (plural) tried various things including antibiotics, grinding down a few teeth and that dreaded mouth guard – man that thing sucks – but to no avail. So surgery it is. But I was told that it may not fix the problem. Sweet. All I know is that I’ll have stitches and a swallow face for a few days and won’t be able to speak much. My wife seemed happy about that part.
Anyway, I hope to get back to the blog soon.
