I think the person (or people) responsible for this came from the shallow end of the gene pool. Do I hear duelling bangos?
Honestly, shooting a moose in the highest density of subdivisions east of Montreal is ludicrous. Regardless, the moose never had a chance. With no woods to hide in, he was as good as dead.
Apparently, two people claimed the bull and they had to draw a name from a camouflaged hunting hat to see which one got to keep it.
The loser didn’t like the way they drew the names and called in a wildlife officer to decide who got the moose. He awarded the moose to the original loser who was last seen carrying off the hindquarter – with his tail between his legs.
Now, the new loser said the hunting laws were archaic and wants another moose shot.
Of course, all this could have been avoided if everyone who’s old enough to hunt got out and shot a moose. There’d be no arguments then.
